38 VICTIMS OF KWARA CHURCH ABDUCTION REGAIN FREEDOM

In a latest development, the Thirty-Eight congregation abducted by bandits during the Thanksgiving service attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC ) Oke-Isegun Eruku in Ekiti local government area of Kwara state have regained freedom after five days in captivity.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq made this known through his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaiye, on Sunday.
The Governor attributed the efforts made to free the victims to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other security agencies, however reports of their release were sketchy at press time.
In Niger state, fifty out of over 200 students abducted from St Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA, have escaped from captivity.
This was disclosed by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN chairman, Niger state chapter on Sunday, Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, the Catholic bishop of Kontagora diocese, he said the pupils who escaped between Friday and Saturday were unable to return to the school immediately have reunited with their families after officials contacted and visited some parents.
