Iran Confirms Death of 12 Journalists During 12-Day War with Israel

Iranian authorities on Thursday made it known that at least 12 journalists and media workers were killed during the recent 12-day war with Israel,
citing the media arm of the Basij paramilitary forces, reported the updated death toll after two more victims were identified.
The Basij accused Israel of deliberately targeting media personnel and infrastructure in an effort to “silence the voice of truth” and suppress media affiliated with the so-called “Resistance Front” — a term often used to describe Iran and its allied anti-Israel groups.
The war, which began on June 13 with a surprise Israeli attack, saw intense bombardments targeting Iranian military bases, nuclear facilities, residential areas, and the state broadcasting service in northern Tehran.
