INDIAN POLICE ARRESTS NINE IN CONNECTION WITH A $800,000 ATM HEIST IN BENGALURU

Indian police have arrested nine people in connection with a $800,000 Automated Teller Machine ATM cash van heist in Bengaluru, recovering ₹68.5m of the stolen money. The gang, posing as Reserve Bank of India officials, hijacked the van last week, taking the cash custodian and two guards hostage while driving away with the money.
A large-scale manhunt involving over 200 officers across six states led to the arrests, including a cash transport employee, a former employee, and a local police constable. Authorities are investigating possible violations by the cash-handling company CMS, including predictable routes and schedules, as the probe continues.
