Federal Government has revealed plans to construct 100 houses in each of the 774 local government areas across the country.
Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Atta, disclosed this in Kano, when the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, received hundreds of supporters of the New Nigeria People’s Party who defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Under the new initiative, a total of 77,400 houses would be constructed across the country, Kano state would get 4,400 houses for its 44 local council areas
Speaking on the ministry’s mandate and the importance of external collaboration, Ata said, “The primary mandate of the ministry is to provide mass housing for Nigerians, and we welcome potential collaboration with Ms Allen Le and Partners International Investment Consulting Joint Company in achieving this goal.”
Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to solving housing challenges through major investments and partnerships.
He urged the defectors and people of Kano State to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu in its continued efforts to improve the lives of the citizens.
