FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU URGES RENEWED EFFORTS TO END HIV/AIDS IN NIGERIA BY 2030

As the world celebrate World AIDS Day, today Monday, Nigeria First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has called for renewed efforts to end Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, HIV/AIDS in the country by 2030.
In a statement to mark the global observance, themed “Overcoming Disruptions; Transforming the AIDS Response,” she highlighted the country’s progress in HIV prevention, treatment, and care, while emphasizing the need to eliminate stigma and discrimination against those living with the virus.
World AIDS Day, observed annually on December 1, aims to raise awareness, support those living with HIV, and remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. The First Lady urged young people to take responsibility for their health by knowing their HIV status, seek treatment if positive, and encouraged communities to show compassion and support.
