ADC faults Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke for Endorsing Tinubu’S Re-election

Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 presidential election, citing his ancestral roots in the state.
Following a leadership caucus meeting held at the Government House in Osogbo, that had key party figures, Governor Ademola Adeleke, his deputy Kola Adewusi, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Adewale Egbedun, and 25 other prominent PDP leaders signed the endorsement document
As a true“son of Osun State,” the party said it adopted President Bola Tinubu candidacy for his re-election bid.
The PDP also reaffirmed its endorsement of Governor Adeleke for a second term in the 2026 governorship election, despite speculations of his possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). It further encouraged the governor to stay focused on implementing his administration’s five-point agenda for the continued development of the state. Reacting to the development, the Osun State chairman of the ADC, Charles Omidiji, said Adeleke’s refusal to join the APC may not eventually save him from defeat.
