An industrialist and security expert, Mr Femi George Alake has called on the Federal Government to address the hardship caused by rising fuel prices in the country.
Speaking on Vicinity FM, mr Alake said high fuel costs have increased transportation fares and the prices of goods and services, making life more difficult for Nigerians and businesses.
Reacting to the reported 30-day fuel price reduction at NNPC filling stations by President Bola Tinubu, he said the measure would not provide sufficient relief for middle- and low-income earners, particularly those in rural communities.
He urged the government to introduce more effective relief measures, make transportation affordable, and establish companies and factories to create jobs and improve Nigerians’ living conditions.
