The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Seyi Makinde, has promised to serve only one four-year term if elected president in 2027.
Makinde made the pledge at the APM North-East town hall meeting in Yola, Adamawa State, where he proposed a transitional government of national unity based on transparency, public participation and power-sharing.
He also challenged President Bola Tinubu to publish the federal government’s petroleum pricing template, faulting the administration’s policies on compressed natural gas, electric vehicles and electricity supply.
Makinde said the 2027 election should mark a new approach to governance, promising to be truthful with Nigerians about the country’s challenges.
