Chelsea captain Reece James has undergone successful knee surgery following an injury sustained during training, the Premier League club has announced.
The 26-year-old England international missed Chelsea’s last two league matches, including a three-nil defeat to Brentford and a five-one victory over Bournemouth.
The club says James has begun his recovery and will receive medical support at its Cobham training centre during rehabilitation.
