ORIADE NYCN COORDINATOR CALLS ON TINUBU TO REDUCE COST OF GOVERNANCE

Marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary A Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oriade Local Government Chapter, Comrade Oluwole Joseph, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reduce the cost of governance as part of measures to address the economic hardship facing Nigerians. He made the call while speaking on the 65th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria during an interview with Vicinity 95.3 FM.

Comrade Oluwole said the rising cost of living and economic hardship in the country are partly linked to the high cost of governance and corruption. He urged the government to reduce the number of government officials and streamline its structure, saying this could create more resources for development and help improve the welfare of citizens.

The youth leader also urged the federal government to take steps to reduce corruption and create more employment opportunities, particularly for young Nigerians. He further appealed to President Tinubu to intensify efforts to ease the economic burden on citizens and ensure that government resources are used effectively for the development of the country.
