The Allied people’s movement house of assembly candidate for oriade state constituency, Engineer Emmanuel Onileowo known as Datiemo has petitioned the chairman Nigerian electricity regulatory commission (NERC) over the prolonged electricity outrage in Oriade local government of Osun State.
The letter dated 30th of September,2026, copied Ibadan Electricity distribution company (IBEDC). Engineer Onileowo explained that the concerned residents and communities in Oriade local government have been living with no electricity supply over a year ago.
He appealed to the NERC chairman to investigate the cause of prolonged electricity outage by engaging the relevant authorities to ensure immediate and concrete steps are taken towards restoring reliable electricity to the affected communities.
However, The petition has been given attention by the NERC Abuja who has mandated IBEDC Ilesha to look into the issue and a meeting with the respective of the affected communities was held yesterday to proffer lasting solutions to the menace.
