PRESDIENT BOLA TINUBU DIRECTS REACTIVATION OF OIL ASSETS OVER DWINDLING OIL PRODUCTION

President Bola Tinubu has directed holders of dormant oil assets across the country to reactivate the assets, to ramp up dwindling crude oil production and crude oil revenue.
the Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, conveyed the directives of the Presidency to oil and gas operators at the ongoing Nigeria Oil and Gas Energy Week in Abuja.
According to the minister, reactivation of the oil assets towards productivity will lead to growth in the oil sector and sustain investments in capacity building.
In an efforts to maximize oil production, ensuring only serious investors retain access to the country’s hydrocarbon resources.
As the country has continued to struggle to meet the target of 2.1 million barrels per day oil production, with output around 1.4 million barrels per day.
