President Bola Tinubu says over 67,000 borrowers across 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory have received credit backed by the National Credit Guarantee Company in the last one year.
Tinubu, in posts on his social media handle, said 67,512 beneficiaries have so far benefited from the scheme, including 11,374 women.
He said the programme, launched in July 2026 by CREDICORP in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, is designed to expand access to consumer credit and create economic opportunities.
The President added that the scheme has supported more than 661,000 direct and indirect jobs, assuring that the Federal Government will continue to expand the programme.
