Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, says pressure is part of managing Nigeria’s national team, urging his players to remain mentally prepared ahead of their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.
Nigeria will host Madagascar in their opening Group L qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Friday.
Chelle says the team must avoid repeating their poor start to the last World Cup qualifiers, stressing that victory in the opening match will build momentum and confidence for the remaining games.
He also expressed confidence in the quality of the Super Eagles squad, describing Nigeria as one of Africa’s leading football teams.
