ANAMBRA CLEARS 33 PEOPLE IN EBOLA MONITORING EXERCISE

The Anambra State Government says 33 out of 40 people placed under monitoring following Nigeria’s confirmed Ebola case have completed the monitoring period and been cleared.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, says the remaining seven are stable and continue to be monitored.

He urged residents to avoid stigmatizing those under observation, adding that monitoring does not mean a person has contracted Ebola. The government has strengthened disease surveillance and advised residents to maintain good hygiene and report suspected symptoms to health authorities.
