The federal high court sitting in gombe has nullified the emergence of former minister of communications and digital economy, isa pantami, as the pdp governorship candidate in the state.
Justice amina aliyu mohammed ordered the pdp to conduct a fresh governorship primary within 30 days, ruling that the process that produced pantami did not comply with the party’s guidelines and electoral laws.
The ruling followed suits filed by khamisu mailantarki and usman garry, who challenged pantami’s emergence through a voice affirmation at the party’s may 2026 primary.
However, the court declined to remove pantami from the pdp, while counsel to the parties expressed satisfaction with the judgment.
