Joseph Ayo Babalola University, JABU, Ikeji-Arakeji, Ijesa, Osun State, has inducted 62 nursing students at its third induction and oath-taking ceremony.
The ceremony, held at the Oba Oladele Olashore Auditorium, was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo, his deputy, Professor Adekunle Eludire, lecturers, students, parents and other guests.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor urged the inductees to show empathy and patience towards patients, stressing that nurses should build positive relationships with those under their care.
The guest lecturer, Professor Olayinka Abolore Onasoga, advised the new nurses to create global opportunities while making meaningful impact in their local communities.
The Head of the Department of Nursing, Dr Paul, encouraged the students to remain focused and committed to successfully completing their studies.
The overall best graduating student, Ajepe Daniel Ayomide, thanked God for his achievement and urged junior students to remain resilient and consistent in their studies.
Also, an Ikeji-Ile indigene, Akinrolabu Opeyemi, described the induction as the fulfilment of a long-term dream and advised her juniors to take their academics seriously.
