The Kwankwasiyya Movement has urged its members and supporters to remain calm following the omission of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Kano State governorship candidate, Aminu Gwarzo, and his running mate, Mustapha Kwankwaso, from INEC’s final list of candidates.

In a statement dated October 11, 2026, the movement’s spokesperson, Habibu Mohammed, said Gwarzo registered with the NDC within the stipulated period and expressed uncertainty over the reason for the omission.

The movement urged the NDC leadership and the candidates’ legal representatives to urgently explore available administrative and legal remedies within the time allowed by law.
