Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued five abducted women, including a mother and her infant, during an operation in Katsina State.
In a post obtained from the Nigerian Army’s X handle today, the troops acted on intelligence about the movement of suspected terrorists around Madaci Forest in Sabuwa Local Government Area and quickly moved to intercept them.
The military said the victims were subsequently handed over to the Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Musa, too be reunited with their families.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to disrupt criminal activities and protect communities across the region.
