ADC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ATIKU SEEKS TO AMEND TINUBU ELIGIBILITY SUIT

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the African Democratic Congress, ADC, have applied to amend their suit challenging President Bola Tinubu’s eligibility to contest the 2027 presidential election.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed October 13, 2026, to hear the application. The suit also lists the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as defendants.

At the resumed hearing, counsel to the plaintiffs, Joseph Silas, told the court that all parties had been served with the necessary processes. Justice James Omotosho Ekwo subsequently adjourned the case to October 13 for hearing of the application to amend the originating summons.
